My childhood was spent mainly in Highland Mills, NY. I would spend most of my free time going to parks, spending time with my friends and family, and attending school. Occasionally I had the opportunity to explore other cities in New York such as Buffalo, Monroe, New York City, Saratoga Springs, and many more. Moving to Idaho was a big transition for me and observing the differences has made me who I am. It was a completely different lifestyle that focused on outdoor activities and enjoying family time more often. I haven’t explored Idaho very much, but I am hopeful to find opportunities to visit various areas of Idaho.
I decided to go somewhere I had never been before, and the University of Idaho really stood out to me because of the community surrounding the school and the city of Moscow. I had never explored North Idaho and I have found it is a very unique place due to its beautiful features and the smaller cities. Majoring in Political Science has been loads of fun, I’ve been able to interact with other opinions in an environment of understanding and acceptance. I believe this is very important and I hope to use this opportunity to create a similar environment beyond my classes.
