This broadcast of Yin Radio, which aired on February 4, 2012, focuses on Eve Ensler’s award-winning play, The Vagina Monologues, and the global V-Day Movement. Its theme of sexuality and violence against women is emotionally intense and contains frank language that could be triggering to survivors of sexual violence or unsettling for younger audiences.
Yin Radio explores the power of words by celebrating The Vagina Monologues, a play that claims — sometimes shouts — the power of speaking one’s truth, no matter how ugly, no matter how uncomfortable, it makes the rest of the world feel. Music and literature are also included.
